I often ask myself why. Why did you
decide to go to college? At first it was a joke to me, but as I got older I had
wanted a higher education for myself. Going through high school and seeing how most
jobs required a diploma. Being successful and getting a higher education was
what I wanted to do. Therefore, enrolling in college was killing two birds with
one stone. Seeing my parents struggle to get a job when we first came here I
knew they wanted what is best for me.
In addition, I didn’t want to see
myself struggle like my parents due to the lack of their education. Also, enrolling
in college will help me achieve my goals. Going to college ready to learn and
getting me prepared for my full time job. College will help my skills grow and
improve as a person.
